WRPD is excited to partner with NFL Flag to offer multiple division and competitive levels for boys and girls ages 7-14. The 8U NFL Youth Flag Football League is a recreational program for 7–8-year-olds, designed to provide a safe, competitive, and fun football experience. The goal of the program is to help young athletes build fundamental football skills, such as passing, catching, route running, and defensive strategies, while promoting teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Through organized practices and non-contact games, players develop agility, coordination, and game awareness. This program encourages a passion for football and a commitment to personal growth, fitness, and teamwork in an inclusive and positive setting.
Note:
The 8U NFL Youth Flag Football League for seven- to eight-year-olds is a competitive, seven-week program that combines skill development with the excitement of tournament play. Each participant will receive an official NFL team jersey and a medal to celebrate their efforts throughout the season.
*Please note that parents are required to provide football shorts and cleats for their child to participate in the football league.
Season begins in January. Games will be played on Saturdays, but Game Schedules and time are TBD.
THERE WILL BE NO LATE REGISTRATIONS.
Getting registered on time allows for better league organization, more practice time to develop skills, and it also allows for team uniforms to be ordered on time to help avoid late arrival.
If one league gets pushed back it becomes a domino effect with the rest of our leagues.
